OK, so maybe you’re still not sure. I mean, there’s a cer­tain amount of com­fort in the per­ceived anonymity of site brows­ing and blog read­ing. Reg­is­ter­ing for an account on a web­site is almost too much of a com­mit­ment for some, I guess, includ­ing fam­ily and friends alike. “I don’t want them to know where I’ve been and what I’ve read” or “I don’t want them to have my email address, because my inbox is already too full of stuff I don’t want in the first place.” I know all about it — I’m there too, sometimes.

That being said, if you aren’t sure that you want to reg­is­ter on this site, just to be able to read and per­haps com­ment on the lat­est mus­ings that are run­ning around my head, or the goings-on in my world, then you prob­a­bly don’t belong here any­way. Be assured, no mem­ber will at any time receive any unso­licited email from this site; mem­bers who post or com­ment can choose how their names are dis­played, but will never have their name or email address shared out­side of this site with any­one, any­where, any­time. Sure, I do some­times review the site traf­fic, to deter­mine which con­tent is most pop­u­lar, and which areas ar not, but it is for my own edi­fi­ca­tion only, and is never shared or sold to any sites, ever.

I’d always tried to be care­ful with what infor­ma­tion I post to my blog. Noth­ing too per­sonal, noth­ing too reveal­ing, noth­ing that would put my required level of pri­vacy in jeop­ardy. Noth­ing that could come back to harm me, my wife, our kids, or our col­lec­tive fam­i­lies and friends at-large. How­ever, in an effort to be even more care­ful about who reads what, and to ensure that only trusted mem­bers will have access to my site con­tent, I am mak­ing a deci­sion: casual vis­i­tors will effec­tively now be restricted from view­ing any of my blog con­tent. Retroac­tive to the begin­ning of this site, every­thing from now on is members-only.

Mem­bers, those vis­i­tors who have reg­is­tered on this site, will of course have full vis­i­bil­ity to the posts and com­ments, as well as the abil­ity to post and/or com­ment themselves.

So, if you’re a reg­is­tered mem­ber, then go ahead and login over there to read the lat­est and great­est news. If you’re not a mem­ber, then what are you wait­ing for? Click on the Reg­is­ter link to select your user­name — your pass­word will be emailed to you, and then you too can enjoy all the ben­e­fits of the rest of the site mem­bers! Of course, if you have no inter­est in reg­is­ter­ing, that’s OK too — you just won’t be able to read any content.
